Introduction
The European Wax Federation (EWF) is pleased to make available herewith a compilation of summaries (in English) of European and USA national regulations and pharmacopoeias related to the usage of waxes in, or in contact with food and pharmaceutical products.
A collection of the full original versions of these national regulations and pharmacopoeias will be located at the EWF office in Brussels, Belgium, and is available for reference to all its members.
Although this compilation of summaries has been prepared with the greatest care by the Technical Committee of the EWF, it is emphasized that the summaries are offered for guidance purposes only. Whilst the Technical Committee of the EWF will endeavour to update this collection and the summaries as necessary, the EWF assumes no responsibility whatsoever, expressed or implied, for possible errors or omissions in the summaries. In every instance the only legally valid version of any regulation is the full original text in the national language of the country concerned.
It is hoped and believed that this compilation of summaries together with the collection of the full, original regulations at EWF office will prove to be of great practical value to all its members.
To assist the Technical Committee in its tasks the EWF requests members to advise the Technical Committee Chairman of any change in national regulations and/or pharmacopoeias.
